How to Sell on Amazon FBA– Amazon Fulfillment is likely to be the best option for selling your products, so let’s take a look at how Amazon FBA sales work.
Get the product you desire to sell on Amazon
List the product for sale on Amazon. At the time you list an item, you set the selling price for it.
I’ll talk more about this later.
Prepare your item for shipping to Amazon’s fulfillment warehouse.
Pack your belongings and ship them to the warehouse designated by Amazon.
Note: You will be able to collect many different items together.
Your only responsibility is to deliver the goods to the Amazon warehouse safely. You don’t have to worry about packing them so that they go directly to the end customer. So, if you have 20 copies of a board game that you want to sell, you can ship all 20 in one box to Amazon if Amazon has assigned all 20 to one warehouse.
How do I start selling on Amazon Step by step?
The first step in how to sell on Amazon is to create an Amazon seller account. You can do this by going to a website and clicking the “Register Now” button.
After clicking on the Sign Up Now link, you will be guided through the process of setting up your Amazon account. It only takes a few minutes to set up your account, and then you can sell products on Amazon.
How to Calculate Amazon Profit: Using the Amazon Revenue Calculator
If you’ve set up a seller account at this point, the first thing I would recommend is to download the Amazon Seller app. This is a free app, available directly through Amazon, that will provide you with detailed information on the sales price, and fees, among other things, about any product available on their website. This app will allow you to use the camera on your mobile phone to scan any product’s barcode and then show you pricing and fees information for any item you intend to sell on Amazon.
If you haven’t created a merchant account yet, another option doesn’t require an account. You can view the Amazon Income Calculator and get payment information for any item.
If you go to the Fulfillment by Amazon calculator, you can find any product you intend to sell on Amazon. You will then enter a price, how much it will cost to ship to Amazon, and how much the product will cost you. The calculator will accurately display how much commission will be charged, and most importantly, it will show at the bottom what kind of profit you can expect from this product.
I recommend launching every product you sell on Amazon using this calculator or another tool that serves the same purpose. With this calculation in place, you need to know exactly how much profit you can expect from each item you sell on Amazon.
Now that we have a tool that shows us how the commission structure works when selling on Amazon, we need to sell a few items.
Decide what to sell on Amazon
The first potential way to find products to sell is to look at your surroundings. A couple of the most common items that might make sense are books or any gifts you receive and never open.
The second option is to buy items that are available at low prices from your local retail store. Typically, these items will be on sale. The idea is to find products that are cheaper in a retail store than on Amazon. This practice of buying goods at low prices from retail stores and then selling them on Amazon is called retail arbitrage.
Retail arbitrage is one of the best ways to start selling on Amazon; since the initial investment is small, it allows you to learn the process and make a profit.
The experience gained through retail arbitrage also provides a wealth of knowledge about how selling on Amazon works, which can be applied to other sourcing methods in the future.
To get started with retail arbitrage, you need to set up a seller account in order to be able to access the Amazon Seller App. This will provide you with the information you need to know if an item is worth buying to resell.
What products are actually being sold?
How do I rate the products I sell on Amazon?
Now that we have some products that we want to sell on Amazon, we need to know how to rate them. When selling on Amazon using the Fulfillment by Amazon program, I recommend pricing at a level similar to that of other Listed Fulfillment sellers.
When evaluating your products, I do not recommend setting prices lower than those you are competing with. Prices below your competitors can often trigger a chain reaction of price declines and can quickly reduce margins.
Whenever I rate a product, I will look for a significant difference in price between offers, and if it is substantial, I will evaluate it many times to see if I can make an additional margin on the product I am selling.
